President or Dictator?

Did anybody else watch that B**S** on television last night about the "stimulus" plan? I could only take about 15 minutes before I considered kicking the president in the head through the tv screen. Is that guy the president of a country that has 2 other equal powers or does he see himself as a supreme ruler? I have never heard or seen so much arrogance in a president. To put it plainly, he is a prick. I'm sorry to be so bold in my statement, but he does not seem to care what the rest of the country thinks. I think I may have seen his eyes turn red last night; I'm just saying. I also can't stand those week in the knees republicans who caved today. Arlen Spector, from my home state, has been a constant problem when it comes to this. He is the most liberal conservative I have ever seen, if that even makes sense. That kind of stuff makes me want to run for office as a Democrat and vote as a Conservative. What is the point of the D's and R's anyway? They are all a bunch of clowns and it is time for term limits. The problem is, you will not find a single one of them that will write a bill instituting such a law. They are all too comfortable strapping the backs of the American people. We are so far gone from what our founding fathers intended! Each week that has gone by over the last 6 months has taken away every last piece of hope I have in this country as it now stands. I take back my stance on a peaceful change back to normalcy. I don't think the people will put up with this too much longer. If I lived in California, for instance, right now I would be beating down the governor's door until I got my refund. How can a state run out of money that was never theirs? A refund means you loaned the government money for a few months so you could not earn interest on it, and then in California, they seem to have used it anyway with no regard to ownership. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!! If we do not preserve freedom here and now, it will not stand anywhere without a revolution from those who still believe. I know this is the most scattered bunch of bull you have ever read, but it is time to shake off the dust. There cannot be a single person who sits on their couch and says, everyone else will call and tell them how we feel. We must all call the current trash that resides in Washington and tell them where we stand. They want re-election, TRUST ME. They wouldn't know what to do without their current job, because they are all a bunch of bums. The good ones are few and far between, but I am grateful for them. It is time to take a stand!

What's Wrong With Bankrupt?

What is so wrong with a major corporation going bankrupt? I thought that was the method created by our government already to keep corporations and citizens from totally drowning in their debt. It provides a chance to restructure and come back better than before. These auto companies especially need to declare bankruptcy if they are at that point, but part of me says they are jumping the gun out of greed. Once somebody else gets their hands in the free money, everyone else comes running for a handout. There is no shame with people anymore! Even if bankruptcy didn't work, who cares. Are you trying to tell me that somebody else wouldn't buy these companies and make them work? Businesses are bought and sold all the time. These companies could stand to benefit from this. They could finally rid themselves of the greedy scum, known as unions. Unions had their day of worth, but that has long since past. They pride themselves in forcing pay and benefits that are beyond reasonable and eventually lead to the destruction of the company they work for. I have a feeling they are the ones behind forcing this shameless begging so they can stay alive. Toyota pays their employees approximately 2/3 of what the big three pay their employees. I wonder if that is a sign of a bad business model (it's sarcasm in case you couldn't tell). They do the same job for cheaper. It makes since to me. If they don't try on their own first through bankruptcy, then they deserve to fail, and the unions can be thrown into the streets. Maybe then they will wake up when they see that most people work for a fair wage. It's called honesty and integrity. Congress, wake up! Americans are sick of the bailouts!

Freedom

It may seem like a lame comparison but hear me out. I was watching Star Wars Episode III last night and at one point it was said "This is how freedom dies; with cheers and applause". I thought it was rather appropriate for what we are experiencing today. As of yet we do not know what will happen, but I fear the worst; the worst being BARACK OBAMA! The worst part is that we are seeing the same thing; freedom dying with cheers and applause. They are embracing socialism and bigger, more powerful government. I pray the Lord will have pricked the hearts of the people today and McCain will pull this off and we can begin to rebuild conservative values in this country. McCain is nowhere near there, but he can at least help prevent the quicker embrace of evil.

Where's Mitt?

So, I wore my Mitt Romney for President beanie today. I was just making a statement about how there are no real choices for us. Both of the two major parties nominated clowns for candidates. Somebody reassured me that Mitt was not nominated, but I told them that was the point. We should have picked Mitt. I think many are kicking themselves and many more will be when we are given either one of these two characters (Obama or McCain). What's even worse is the likelihood that we may end up with a Democrat for President and a Democratic Congress. I am about to embark into the world of a nursing career once I graduate next summer, but now I am afraid of what I will find. I just heard today that doctors in France make anywhere from $50 - 100k as reported on the Big Talker 1210. That is a stark contrast to what they earn here in the US. Logic would tell me that nurses would make even less. Here's to national health care (and other socialistic programs). Quite frankly, I am sick of most of the politicians telling me how I can't do it on my own and I deserve government intervention. They are selling me and you out! It's time we tell them we deserve better! We want leaders who believe in us! If we don't start believing in ourselves as well, then we will get what we think we want, and it will be great COMRAD.

"These are the times that try men's souls"

I think Thomas Paine is exactly what we need in these times. Appropriately he lived in Philadelphia just as I do. Unfortunately he did not really finish the fight he began for the Revolution. My heart tells me that we are in turbulent times; times that try men's souls. I fear however, where that may lead us. Our very foundation, our Constitution, is crumbling beneath us. We must remember what it is that we stand for. We must return to God. My fear about these times that try men's souls is that we will not find enough who have the spirit of revolution, but instead find those who fall in place like lemmings and accept the destruction of our nation. I am not at all calling for a revolution. What I am saying is that we need men and woman like those who lived in days gone by. We need people who will not back down in the face of evil. Too many have grown weak in the knees. Our revolution needs to be a peaceful one which is done by kicking out the trash that currently works in Washington. We cannot survive any other kind. We will not be blessed unless we return to the founding principles of this great land. It still says "In God We Trust" on our currency. It's time to tell the government and everyone else to put their money where their mouth is.

What Goes Up, Must Come DOWn!

It appears I am a prophet. No, but seriously, these temporary jumps in the stocks these last few weeks are all a joke (and so was my first comment). Even I did not expect the fall to be that quick and big after the big climb everyone was talking about yesterday. I had no doubt that it would happen though. We have to wake up to the fact that dumping money into the system is going to do little more than bankrupt the entire nation instead of just the businesses who made poor decisions. I also think people know that and that's why they keep taking their money out of the stock market. We all know that things are not good in spite of the government's attempt to make it seem like all will be okay. We can get through this though if we tell our politician's to wake up and stop spending us into oblivion. What goes up must come down, but it can likely go back up again.

Proposition 8

Proposition 8 will be on the ballot on November 4, 2008 in California. Thanks to liberal judges which made an outrageous ruling a short while ago, overruling the decision to deny gay marriage, gay "couples" are now allowed to be married in California. Proposition 8 calls to make an amendment to make the rights of marriage solely for a man and a woman and take back what was already in place, not by man, but by God. We have a similar bill in Pennsylvania which needs be voted on to give a definition to marriage as being between a man and a woman. Unfortunately opposing politicians continue to play games in order to prevent a vote from taking place. Please call your PA state representatives and tell them you support SB 1250. This is critical for the morality of our nation. Some will say it is hatred towards those that are "different", but it protects the rights of the majority and protects your religious freedoms. We must prevent the movement to allow same-sex couples to be legally married. According to The First Presidency and Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, "The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to [God's] eternal plan. [We] warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets. We call upon responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society" (The Family: A Proclamation to the World).
